Gerard W. Barousse, Jr.
Chairman of the Board
As a founding member of the Bayou District Foundation, Gerry Barousse is the organization’s Chairman of the Board. A native of New Orleans, Mr. Barousse is President of Monarch Real Estate Advisors and is a well known innovator in both civic and business arenas, with 25 years of commercial real estate, banking and property development experience. Gerry donates 80-90% of his time to Bayou District Foundation.
Director of Foundation Advancement
Mrs. McCaffety-Scott is a graduate of Rice University and native Texan who migrated to New Orleans in 2009 to be closer to family. She served as Financial Director for the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy in Houston, Texas for five years before being recruited as COO/CFO for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Her final year at the Ogden was in the capacity of Acting Director during which time she was responsible for several successful major funding initiatives. She then joined Audubon Nature Institute as Director of Development managing the first capital campaign for Audubon Park, which concluded in December of 2013. She joined the Bayou District Foundation team in 2014 as the Director of Foundation Advancement.
Development & Project Assistant
Jacob is a New Orleans native who is a graduate of Brother Martin and UNO. Jacob handles all internal BDF office support and also works in school outreach, website maintenance, donor prospecting, news gathering, afterschool programming, 100 Holes of Golf special event, demographic reports, metrics and maintenance of offsite housing and property.
