Chairman of the Board
As a founding member of the Bayou District Foundation, Gerry Barousse is the organization’s Chairman of the Board. A native of New Orleans, Mr. Barousse is President of Monarch Real Estate Advisors and is a well known innovator in both civic and business arenas, with 25 years of commercial real estate, banking and property development experience. Gerry donates 80-90% of his time to Bayou District Foundation.
Jacob Peters
Executive Director
Jacob is a New Orleans native who is a graduate of Brother Martin and University of New Orleans. Jacob handles all internal BDF office support and also works in school outreach, website maintenance, donor prospecting, news gathering, afterschool programming, 100 Holes of Golf special event, demographic reports, metrics and maintenance of offsite housing and property.
